From her book "Where Two Worlds Touch" Gloria Karpinski writes: "Change challenges, relieves, frustrates, threatens, saddens, or exhilarates us. Mainly it forces us to grow."
Living here in PA we experience change four times each year as the seasons come and go. We might have a favorite or just prefer the warmest seasons. Personally, I like them all because of the reminder I need about change, and so I do my best to embrace each one. The only certainty in life is that nothing ever stays the same and if we resist this, we often bring suffering upon ourselves. When the storms come we could hide away in the hull and complain OR we could adjust our sails and try our best to enjoy the ride and see what hidden blessings emerge even in the midst of the storm!
